Weekly outdoor concerts are held during the summer in the Bandshell at LACC Rec 1. Donations, raffles, silent auctions and revenues from advertising fund this program with 10% of donations excluding raffle, silent auction and advertising retained in the LACF charitable interests.
Arts and Crafts Faire
A faire, started in 2001, is held at LACC on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Local artisans pay a fee to LACF to display and sell their art and wares. Non-profit organizations are invited to participate as guests of LACC to share their services. All funds raised go to charitable giving.
Theme Party Fundraisers
Two new annual fundraisers have been added to raise funds for the Foundation. Mardi Gras, a dinner/dance in February and a Kentucky Derby Viewing Party in May. Events planned may change from year to year.
Civic leaders, the Chamber of Commerce, the LACF and the Feather River Tourism Association are building a Town Plaza in Chester that will offer year-round activities and a central “hub” creating economic growth for the greater LA Basin. LACF is committed to raising funds for The Plaza by releasing a cookbook, Memorial Weekend, 2021, hosting the Battle of The Mountain Beer Tasting in October and The Twilight Picnic in White, September, 2021.
