Register to be a business participant in the Mountain Affairs Holiday Shopping Tour!
Must register by 10/20/21 to participate.
The 2021 Holiday Shopping Tour will be a 2 day event, November 12th and 13th. The Lake Almanor Area Chamber will advertise and promote the event on social media and via flyers, emails and in our Town Chatter. Locals and visitors alike have come to look forward to this kick off of the Holiday Shopping Season with the unique stores and boutiques available in our towns.
Fee: $50 Chamber Members (any Chamber) and a $25 value raffle item, $75 Non-Chamber Members and a $25 item for grand prizes
Business participation is open to Merchants of Westwood and the Lake Almanor Basin who can commit to the following:
Promote Tour with your Customers & on Social Media
Decorate for Holidays
Be Creative with Hospitality, Beverages, Snacks, Music
Create In-Store Specials & Drawings
Donate to Grand Prize Basket ($25 minimum)
Prizes will be given for "Visited All", a Tour Participant Drawing & Best Facebook Photo

Interested citizens are invited to a presentation on Economic Development for Plumas County on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am at the Lake Almanor Area Chamber Office 278 Main Street. Presenting will be Kristin York of the Sierra Business Council and Malinda Matson of the Sacramento Economic Development Administration.

November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. In our area, Sierra Hospice has been a volunteer, community-based program that supports individuals and their families with end-of-life care. To support the hospice community here in Chester, Sierra Hospice is hosting a Community Supper focused on raising awareness. Pick up your meal on November 18th at the Community Hall on Gay Street. Drive thru the outdoor food pick up between 5:00 and 6:00pm.
