Businesses from all over the Lake Almanor Basin create and display scarecrows to enter into the Lake Almanor Area Chamber Scarecrow Contest. The winner gets a trophy, recognition on social media/website and bragging rights. Please display your scarecrow outside your business by September 31st to be entered into the voting. Voting will begin November 1st on Facebook or in person at the Lake Almanor Chamber dropbox inside B&B Booksellers. Voting will end November 14th.
We also would like to invite businesses that do not have a Main Street or storefront location to participate. Contact Chelssa for more information at 530-258-6323.

Your local Lake Almanor Elks Lodge is trying something new. It’s called Diner Night at the Elks Lodge a throwback to simpler times. This is a great place to take the whole family to dinner. Our menu is evolving but for now we offer your choice of hamburger, cheeseburger or hot dog, French fries, and Cole Slaw. Price is just $10 which includes tax. We will be offering beer and wine for our guests over the age of 21. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner service starts at 5:30pm.
