Almanor Recreation and Park District (ARPD)ARPD’s Board of Directors meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6 PM, except in December. When held at the ARPD office (102 Meadowbrook Loop, Chester, CA 96020), they are public meetings at reduced capacity. When meetings are not held at the office, ZOOM Video meetings are held instead. Please join Sierra Hospice for our annual tree lighting ceremony. November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month a time to raise awareness about important care issues for people coping with life - limiting illnesses, a time to acknowledge hospice providers and volunteers and a time to remember those loved ones we no longer have with us. Each year we gather to remember people we have lost by placing their names on ornaments, upon a memorial tree. The memorial tree is on display through out the month of December. 11/24/2022

Walk, Jog, or Run to our annual 5k Turkey Trot in Bailey Creek! Registration starts at 7am and the run begins at 8am. Come early for free coffee and pastries! First 50 runners get a free fuzzy earband. Prizes for first place in each category (mens, womens, children 0-13) and for best Turkey or Thanksgiving-themed costume!
Location: Bailey Creek Clubhouse, 433 Durkin Drive, Lake Almanor
Time: Registration/Sign-In starts at 7am, the Run begins at 8am
Cost: $25 per person or $40 for 2+ runners
Proceeds go to the Lake Almanor Area Fireworks Fund.

All proceeds from the Chamber Bar Cart will go to the New Year's Eve Fireworks Show.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...for holiday shopping on Main Street in Chester! You're invited to join our community at our beloved annual Merchants' Night, which takes place the day after Thanksgiving. Walk down Main Street with friends and family to experience our businesses and the delectables they have in store for you this year. Holiday sales, drawings, and goodies await you this Merchants' Night...as well as a visit from Santa Claus -- traditionally riding in on a fire truck with the Chester Fire Department.
Merchants' Night is a 25+ year tradition.

Lassen Theatre from 5:15pm-6:00pm in the 2022 months of September, October and November. We will not meet in December.Facebook Live will be available at all meetings, but Zoom will not.
