Time to show off your scarecrow making skills!
Businesses from all over the Lake Almanor Basin create and display scarecrows to enter into the Lake Almanor Area Chamber Scarecrow Contest. The winner gets a trophy, recognition on social media/website and bragging rights. Please display your scarecrow outside your business by September 31st to be entered into the voting. Voting will begin November 1st on Facebook or in person at the Lake Almanor Chamber dropbox inside Forever Books. Voting will end November 14th. Register today!
We also would like to invite businesses that do not have a Main Street or storefront location to participate. Contact Chelssa for more information at 530-258-6323.
Fees from the competition go to prizes for the Merchants Trick-or-Treat Costume Contest!

The Annual Chamber Golf Tournament hosted by Bailey Creek Golf Course has been a huge success since its inception. Golfers from all over come to enjoy a beautiful day on the course with games, prizes and dinner. This event wouldn't be possible without our generous sponsors. Christmas Angel's Soup Supper. Tasting of 12 or more soups plus breads, muffins and desserts. Proceeds go toward purchasing warm coats, boots, hats & gloves at Christmas for less fortunate children in our community.

Dress up for our Annual Halloween Costume Contest during Merchant's Safe Trick-or-Treat down Main Street! Between 3-5pm, stop by our spooktacular backdrop and take your picture to be entered into the Halloween Costume Contest.
Location is currently TBD, but will most likely be in front of the Mt. Lassen Theatre similar to last year.
Prizes will be awarded for Best Group, Best Duo and Best Individual.
Voting will begin November 1st and the winners will be announced November 7th.
