Time to show off your scarecrow making skills!
Businesses from all over the Lake Almanor Basin create and display scarecrows to enter into the Lake Almanor Area Chamber Scarecrow Contest. The winner gets a trophy, recognition on social media/website and bragging rights. Please display your scarecrow outside your business by September 31st to be entered into the voting. Voting will begin November 1st on Facebook or in person at the Lake Almanor Chamber dropbox inside Forever Books. Voting will end November 14th.
We also would like to invite businesses that do not have a Main Street or storefront location to participate. Contact Chelssa for more information at 530-258-6323.
Fees from the competition go to prizes for the Merchants Trick-or-Treat Costume Contest!
Everyone is welcome to participate! If you do not have a business or storefront and wish to participate to support the youth or this community please contact us and we will find accommodations for your scarecrow.
