Join us for the Food Pantry’s wildly popular donation-based Community Suppers, serving the Lake Almanor area from Fall through Spring at Veterans Memorial Hall! These heartwarming dinners bring the entire town of Chester together to enjoy amazing, home-cooked meals while raising thousands of dollars annually to support the Food Pantry’s mission to fight hunger. Come for the food, stay for the community spirit, and help make a difference! Dinner is served between 5-6pm.

As the Friday after Thanksgiving approaches, prepare to be swept away by the enchanting transformation of Chester into its very own Christmas Village, a celebration that truly embodies the spirit of community that the Lake Almanor Area Chamber of Commerce cherishes.Join us as we gather for the heartwarming tree lighting ceremony at 5 PM, where the Blue Star Moms will share a heartfelt welcome message, setting the tone for an evening filled with joy. At 5:15 PM, the sweet sound of candlelight carols will fill the air, mingling with the delightful aromas of holiday drinks provided by Chester Rotary, creating an atmosphere that beckons everyone to partake in the festivities. The excitement will culminate in a thrilling countdown to the tree lighting at 5:30 PM, illuminating our town with warmth and cheer.
Afterward, take a leisurely stroll down Main Street to explore the charming Merchants' Night, where Main Street shopping will be open until 8 PM, or test your skating skills at the ice rink, also open until 8 PM. We invite you to immerse yourself in this joyous celebration, fostering connections and supporting our local merchants to enhance the vibrant quality of life in the Lake Almanor area this holiday season.
